This vintage woven piece from the Ivory Coast has been repurposed into a beautiful scarf. It is hand dyed indigo ikat, 100% cotton, and  measures 9" wide x 62". The Baule people of the Ivory Coast are one of only two communities in West Africa to create ikat dyeing.

It has been cleaned and inspected, but may still have slightly irregular weaving or tiny snags. Some pieces may have small repairs, but this only adds to the character in a one of a kind piece. They are such made of such soft cotton you can wear them all day long!

My most treasured textiles are those with “character” that have travelled many miles.
